The Chamber is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Melton as Events & Sponsorship Coordinator. Sam’s appointment will support a three year growth plan, which will see the Chamber create and maximise opportunities for members and the wider business community.
Sam Melton commenting on her appointment said: “I have worked in the events industry in London and then more recently in West Yorkshire for over 22 years. I have always been a great advocate of the Chamber of Commerce in my previous roles and was an active member and supporter of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce whilst at the National Coal Mining Museum for England.
“I am really pleased to be joining the team to assist the new growth plan moving forward. Although the Chamber already offers a varied events programme, there is still plenty of scope to add new events and opportunities for our members and the Mid Yorkshire business community.”
Sam who will primarily based at the Chamber's Kirklees office at John Smith's Stadium, continued: “We are very keen to work in close partnership with our members, in particularly venues, suppliers and sponsors, to deliver a diverse and creative 2017 Events Calendar. It is an exciting time for the Chamber and I am really pleased to be part of it."
Martin Hathaway chief executive said: “We are delighted to welcome Sam to the team. Sam brings extensive experience and skills that will help us to develop and grow our events programme, further improving our service to our members. This is the first appointment as part of our ambitious three year growth plan.”
