BETTER BY INVENTION: NEW STANDARD PRODUCT RANGE LAUNCH FROM SEWTEC AUTOMATION SET TO COMPLEMENT BESPOKE SOLUTIONS

Published 17th Nov 2020 by Emma Sinfield

Industrial automation specialist Sewtec is set to launch its own unique standard product range, offering customers premium standard automated packaging machines, ranging from case erectors to robotic palletising systems. Sewtec manufactures automated machinery from its state-of-the-art facility in Silkwood Park, Wakefield. This will be the first time the bespoke manufacturer has released a range of standard machines, targeting end users across the packaging industry.

The brand-new range comprises of six different stand-alone machines including a case erector, case closer, top loader, picker cell, pallet loader, and palletising system. Each module can be easily integrated into a full production line solution, providing the customer with a cost effective, future proofed automation system from a single supplier.

Built to Sewtec’s exemplary engineering standards, the range promises to deliver the highest possible efficiencies without compromising on quality.

Commenting on the range, Sewtec managing director Mark Cook said “we made the decision to launch our own range of packaging machines as we believe other systems currently available were simply not hitting the mark in terms of functionality, performance, safety, and quality. We want to offer the same Sewtec-quality, engineer-designed machines that our customers have grown accustomed to with the bespoke solutions we provide.

We have distilled decades of engineering experience into a range of world-class machines that are built to perform at the highest level and are compliant with the most stringent safety standards.

With a simple operator interface, each of our machines are equipped with an outstanding software architecture to secure complete control of the production line.”

Sewtec has appointed a new technical sales manager, Olivia Collyer, who will specialise in standard products. Commenting on the appointment, Andy Perks, head of sales at Sewtec, said “Olivia will play a key role in driving sales and growth for the business across our target industries and sectors.”

The new range is set to launch later this month and follows a strong year for Sewtec despite the impact of Covid-19, with the company announcing a turnover of £23m and an EBITDA of £7.4m for the year ended 30 June 2020.
