News | Award-Winning Innovation To Boost Businesses across The Wakefield District with Local Hospitality

Have you heard about what we are doing? Eat Out Round About is an Innovate UK Award-Winning platform that was funded by government as part of a £191m pot for ideas to stimulate economic recovery.

The platform has been researched and supported by Wakefield Council and CLES (the national organisation for local economies). We have combined the needs of local businesses and the local economy with digital incentives in local dining. During our trials we demonstrated over a 600% return on investment from digital vouchers into the economy and with local firms such as Chadwick Lawrence, Haribo, KolorCraft and OE Electrics supporting us, and over 1300 local app users, we got Eat Out Round About off to great start.
