Leading supplier of fever screening systems helping business community safely return to work. The Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, which supports almost 500 businesses across the districts of Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield, has welcomed a new Patron - Your Choice Fire & Security.

A leading supplier of fever screening systems, the Pontefract based firm is teaming up with the Chamber to help the local business community to safely get back to work amid the Coronavirus crisis with its state-of-the-art thermal fever detection solutions, which detect elevated skin temperatures in one second and require no personal contact.

Managing Director of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber, Martin Hathaway comments: “We’re delighted to welcome Your Choice on board as our new Patron. The firm’s fever detection systems are vital to restoring confidence in the workplace as the Government urges people to get back to work, and the offers will certainly be of benefit to our members as new health and safety policies develop.”

Jason Begg, Managing Director of Your Choice Fire & Security, said: “In light of the Coronavirus pandemic and the devastating impact it has had on businesses, the advantages of being able to detect and isolate individuals who have a high temperature is clear, not least protecting staff, customers and facilities.

“Becoming a Patron of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the incredible work that the organisation carries out on behalf of the local business community. To show our support, we’ll be offering some exclusive offers to members over the coming weeks.”

Recently adapted to include a facial recognition feature, the detection system is capable of screening up to 30 people simultaneously and readings are displayed on the dedicated monitoring PC, supplied in the form of colour images and temperature scales. If a higher than average temperature is detected, an alarm is triggered to alert the operator.

The technology is particularly useful in areas of high foot fall including offices, warehouses, hospitals and construction sites. It is also currently being trialled in airports, with railway stations likely to follow suit.
