Leeds Beckett University is a significant employer within the region with over 3200 staff supporting a wide range of academic disciplines and professional services. We have more than 25,000 students from 144 countries and territories. It is estimated that we contribute over £520 million to the regional economy annually.
We play a key role in the cultural and commercial development of the region and aim to use our knowledge and resources to make a positive and decisive difference to people, communities and organisations and to contribute to the development of a thriving Northern economy.
As part of our commitment to making our university more accessible to business, we will open 3 new University Business Centres across the region in 2017 in Leeds, Wakefield and Halifax.
Building on the success of our existing University Business Centre in Leeds, together our new Centres will be home to over 750 SME’s providing flexible and attractive office services together with a range of support to help clients grow their businesses. We offer business advice, mentoring, professional training, meeting facilities and free use of our business lounges across Yorkshire.
Our Business Centres act as a gateway to our University providing local businesses with an easy way to access our research expertise, knowledge transfer support and graduate talent. Through our pioneering partnerships with regional councils, colleges, business intermediaries and corporate partners we can also help businesses connect with the wider business community.
