K T Hydraulics Hopes of Expansion

K T HydraulicsThe marketing team visited members K T Hydraulics new and impressive building in Elland where Sales Manager David Chandler showed them around the factory.

Having moved into the purpose built premises less than 1 year ago, David explained how the company, formally the UK division of Kracht before becoming K T Hydraulics in 1985, have been members of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber for years. “We have always found networking in the local area useful for establishing and maintaining relationships with local businesses as we want to work with Yorkshire suppliers wherever possible.” Said David.

David explained how on top of the 17 members of staff directly employed by K T Hydraulics, approximately another 50 in the Mid Yorkshire region benefit through the cutting of steel and welding which is outsourced locally.

David and the team also make the most out of their Chamber membership by attending the Chamber’s training seminars such as the ‘VAT trading with other countries’ workshop held in the Chamber’s Huddersfield office last November, and repeated again this year, ideal for exporters.

The next goal for K T Hydraulics is to expand into the premises. David advised “We have gone from £5 million to a £10 million turnover in recent years and with the new building we’re able to take on orders for larger and greater numbers of systems and continue to come up with specialist hydraulic solutions for the world’s oil majors so we are really are experiencing exciting times!”
