The Piece Hall

The Piece Hall in Halifax is a unique Grade I Listed Georgian cloth hall dating back to 1779. Reopened in August 2017 following a £19m restoration project the Piece Hall has been transformed into a 21st Century town square for everyone to enjoy which has already attracted over 3 million visitors from across the North and beyond.

The Piece Hall is once again at the heart of the local and regional business community, as it was in Georgian times when it was at the centre of the global woollen industry.It is of great importance to us that we work collaboratively with our peers and as patrons of Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce we believe that together we can make a significant impact in the local area and beyond, putting Halifax and the region front and centre of any business opportunities.

Today, we are amongst the great town squares of Europe, with a treasure trove of high-quality independent shops, restaurants, cafes and bars surrounding our impressive 66,000 square foot open-air piazza that plays host to a world-class programme of outdoor music, live performances and spectacles, making us a must-visit destination, attracting visitors from all corners of the globe.

As an independent charity, dedicated to managing The Piece Hall for public benefit we’re excited to work with people who share our passion for The Piece Hall and the fantastic possibilities for this unique place, offering a truly stunning location for events, conferences and functions.
