CHADWICK LAWRENCE APPOINT 4 NEW TRAINEES TO THE FIRM

Yorkshire’s Legal People, Chadwick Lawrence, have recently appointed 4 new trainees at the firm following a number of internal promotions.

The legal firm are keen in investing in their internal talent to develop and strengthen the already existing expert team.

The new trainees are Sophie Foster and Ellie Hirst who began their training contracts on 1st April 2020 and Ciara Scanlon and Leah Williams who start on 1st April 2021. Each have worked in roles across varying Chadwick Lawrence offices and have shown hard work and dedication to developing their knowledge of the legal profession.

Ellie Hirst joined Chadwick Lawrence in Spring 2019 and has primarily worked in the Private Client team, specialising in Wills, Power of Attorney and Probate matters. Shehelps organise the firms networking activities in Wakefield. Ellie achieved a First-Class Honours LLB degree and a distinction in the LPC LLM at the University of Law. Outside of work Ellie is also part of the Huddersfield and Dewsbury Law Society.

Sophie Foster has been at the firm for just over a year and is currently based in the Leeds office where she will complete her training contract with the firm. Sophie completed her Law degree at University of Manchester and graduated her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law last year.

Leah Williams joined Chadwick Lawrence’s Employment Law team during her second year at university in 2018. Leah completed her degree at the University of Law in Leeds achieving First Class LLB Honours Degree and she is currently working towards her LPC and Masters in Law. During her free time Leah assists with the firm’s business seminars, work experience program and mentors and guides local school children.

Ciara Scanlon has also worked in the Employment Law department since 2018 and frequently volunteers to help with Front of House responsibilities. After graduating from Newcastle University, she is now studying towards her LPC and Masters of Law. Since starting at the firm, Ciara has helped organise a number of events including the business seminars and the Aspire Tag Rugby in partnership with Leeds Rhinos.

Neil Wilson, Managing Partner of Chadwick Lawrence, commented “All four individuals have shown great commitment to adopting The Chadwick Lawrence Way whilst helping find ways to continuously develop the firm.

“We are extremely proud of our training scheme and it is great to see a number of colleagues progressing their careers through this training route.”
